If he didn't give you instructions I would call his office and talk to someone there and get the necessary information. My stitches were in for 10 days. I missed 4 days of work, but then I worked on a computer, so I didn't have to worry about getting the stitches wet. Also, when taking a shower, makes sure you put a plastic bag (like Ziploc) over your hand and secure it at the bottom with a hair elastic or rubber band. That way it shouldn't get wet.My finger no longer bothers me. It was worth the whole surgery to have it taken care of. I am glad I did it. I have full range of movement and no more pain. I hope this helps you even a little. Take care.

What did your doctor tell you? I have to continue to wiggle my fingers so the scar will heal interior and exterior. Have to go back in 6 weeks to make sure my finger is doing better. I do regret waiting so long to have this done. I should have done it months ago. Lesson learned.

Got the stitches out today.
