Just a few more days- VOTE

The time is coming very quickly. The candidates are still out there, talking about what they are willing to do for the American people. What the people have to do next is VOTE! Make sure you have your registration card in your wallet, your purse, a safe location so you can grab it on Tuesday. Head down to the polls and vote for the person you feel best about. I have already decided who I am voting for. But I won’t tell you because I want you to decide for yourself.

I have been checking out more sites on the Internet and came across Newsmax.com. Very interesting. You may want to check it out. Also do more research on the candidate you are thinking of voting for. Make sure you are voting for the person you want to represent you in Washington. Give it your best shot. Choose wisely. Remember, it’ll be 4 years until we can vote again.

McCain

I have been writing different things about Obama, trying to find the truth to let people know how he really is. I have not done so to McCain. Why? Because he seems to be a more realistic person, someone who doesn’t seem to want to take anyone’s bull, someone who will push the legislature into finally doing something good instead of stuffing pork into bills and laws to be signed. I believe he would be a good president, much more than Obama.

McCain and his running mate Palin seem to be the type of people who will try their best to do the right thing for the American people. They seem more dedicated to finding out what people want, remembering the hard times and the anger people have with those hard times. Some of what McCain has been proposing may not be voted into laws. That’s why we have the Senate and the House for bills to go through first. That’s always been normal in the past. Just a few more weeks and we shall see who gets the most votes for President. I only hope the one who does win won’t turn out to be a mistake.

The right to Vote

Our founding fathers gave us the right to vote for the people we wanted to guide our country over the years. This is a priviledge, but there are some people who can vote who won’t be at the polls on Election Day. Why? Because they either don’t care or want to be there. Some will say their vote won’t count. Others will use the excuse nothing ever changes and it doesn’t matter who gets elected. There are also a few who will say they don’t have the time to vote. These are just lame excuses. The right to vote is precious and we should all make sure to take those few minutes to vote.

Some countries are ruled by dictators. The people in those countries don’t have the right to vote. They can’t decide for themselves. They have to listen to the person in charge who might lead them in the wrong direction. We are lucky to be able to vote for the people who will represent us in the government.

All the wars fought since the beginning of our country until now have been fought for our freedom. Soldiers have given their lives for the freedoms we enjoy. One of those freedoms is the ability to vote. Please make sure you vote on Election Day. It would be an honor to those who sacrificed their lives for us over the past decades.
