The familiar adage “A picture is worth a thousand words” has proven to be true time and again by the return of missing children who have been identified through the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children’s (NCMEC) Photo-Distribution Program. Thanks to the dissemination of photographs and information by thousands of companies and individuals helping NCMEC in this effort, millions of people have already joined in this search. You can too

SAYREVILLE, N.J. – A man who snatched his infant daughter from the arms of her maternal grandmother while the child’s mother was in court getting a restraining order against him told police he threw the baby off a bridge and into a frigid New Jersey river, prompting a massive search Wednesday beneath a busy parkway.

Search teams, including boats, dogs and helicopters, scoured the area beneath the Garden State Parkway’s Driscoll Bridge in central New Jersey for any signs of 3-month-old Zara Malani-lin Abdur. Acting New Jersey Attorney General Paula Dow called the incident “an example of a horrific case of domestic violence.”

Today we got the news that the body of little Zara was found in the river. Why did her father toss her out like garbage? What were his thoughts? She never did anything to him, she never had the chance to do more than want for his love and attention. What possesses people to kill their own children? I hope the court system gives this father what he deserves- he doesn’t warrant our sympathy, but the little baby who never got a chance to grow up does.

It will take years of therapy, years of tears, hugs, and love to mend the broken hearts and minds. Will they be able to put a lot of this behind them and go onward? Will the grandchildren be able to live a normal life? Will their mother, Jaycee, be forever on guard of someone snatching her girls on the street? The fear may always remain. It will be hard for all of them to learn to live normally. I hope they can find peace in each others arms.

While Jaycee being found after all those years has brought some comfort for families who have lost children to abductors, what is going through their minds? If their children are found, what then? It gives hope. That’s all we can ask for.

Southampton is a small town in the south of Pennsylvania. A pretty area with nice homes, one of which Bonnie lived in with her second husband and three daughters. There has been some news that she may have stolen some money, but no one has filed any charges of theft against her yet. There’s been talk of domestic problems, which her husband has denied. The children look happy. The husband wants her back and said he will forgive her. Her ex-husband and Julia’s father said he can’t understand why she created this hoax as it’s just not like her to do something so strange. She has a lot of support from friends in the neighborhood who say she is very nice and well liked by all, including the black neighbors who are a bit taken back by the statement she made about being abducted by two black men. They can’t understand that as they say she has always treated them like the rest of her neighbors. So, we paint a picture of a small town woman, loved by all, who suddenly seemed to snap and create a hoax that had police scrambling to find her and her daughter.

Charged with two misdemeanors (filing a false police report and identity theft-she basically stole a co-workers licence and used that to get the plane tickets) Bonnie sits in jail. The prosecutor argued that she is a flight risk so the judge set a high bail. She will need 10% of that to get out. Will her family and friends help raise that money so she can come home? The judge did grant her supervised visits with her children.

Since she just had a baby 8 months ago, I wonder if the defense will use the baby as the reason. Women have done some really strange things undergoing post-partum depression. They have killed their children, beaten their husbands, and other things. This is all documented. So, I am thinking this is might be the reason Bonnie went to such extremes to create this hoax. If this isn’t the case, then she is smarter than people think and she needs to be punished for it. So we wait and see what will come about in the next few days and weeks with this story. Will she open up and tell all? That remains to be seen.

And didn’t Sandra cry when she was being brutally tortured? When she was being raped and killed? What was this woman thinking! She needs to have her life taken away for what she did. No child deserves to have this done to her/him. But Huckaby’s parents say she’s a good mother!!!!! If she was my child I would turn my back on her after I told her to her face what I think of her. How could she do this? What brings a person to do this stuff to a little kid? Perhaps after death the experts can analyze her brain to see what was wrong with her because I don’t believe she will tell anyone the real reason why she did such a horrible thing to poor Sandra. I feel for Sandra’s parents. They have to bury their child knowing she was hurt by an adult she trusted, someone they all knew from the neighborhood.
