The recent suicide bombings have led many to believe that the U.S. will once again have to be extremely cautious in dealings with people coming and going out of the country.

Recently the underwear bomber caused a scare on an airplane. How can the U.S. be completely able to detect such things? Why wasn’t this one detected before the plane took off? I did hear there will now be federal marshals on all planes planning to enter the U.S. Will this help prevent such incidents from happening in the near future?

It would seem Al Queda is hell bent on making the U.S. it’s main target. Bin Laden is still out there somewhere, causing more havoc. Many years ago Clinton had the chance to capture Bin Laden, but didn’t because he didn’t perceive the terrorist as a major threat. I wonder if Clinton has thought about that and could kick his own butt for not capturing Bin Laden. Then again, the biggest question is where is Bin Laden now? Most experts feel he is no longer in Afghanistan or Iraq. Probably hiding the mountains of some remote country nearby.

In a article I read in the Philadelphia Inquirer this week one of Bin Laden’s sons, Omar, stated as a child he was extremely regimented. No toys to play with. Not allowed to laugh. Pets were routinely killed by other terrorists when they experimented with bombs and poison gas experiments. Told they, the sons, had to volunteer for suicide missions. Omar left when he was 18 and is glad he made the decision to live. He claims his father was an overly harsh man who hated his enemies more than he loved his own sons. That is sad, but the real issue is that Bin Laden has been tossing more terrorists into the U.S.

Terrorists are causing U.S. citizens to wonder if their neighbors, friends, co-workers, or even family are being recruited by Al Queda. In recent months a few “homegrown” terrorists have surfaced, taking innocent people with them when they shoot guns or do a suicide bombing. The government needs to do more to keep us safe. Starting with the extra scanning at airports was a good idea, but terrorists can sneak into the U.S. along the borders. We all have to be on the alert, listening to others, and reporting someone if we suspect they are up to no good. Terrorism has got to be stopped before it destroys the world.
