President Obama gave the go-ahead for the snipers to free Captain Richard Phillips, but that won’t stop the pirates from raiding other ships or holding hostages. Obama called for a “halt in piracy…the need to work with partners to prevent future altercations.” The government is considering adding Navy gunships along the coast of Somalia. The pirates who were killed by the snipers aged from 17 to 19. Teenagers with weapons. Somalia is at this time lawless. So these teenagers are basically running wild. Where are they getting the guns? Who is supplying them with these weapons? That should be the first thing to be determined before we declare “war”
on the pirates. Someone had to teach them to do what they have been doing. It doesn’t make sense for these young “men” to be armed and dangerous. Who taught them to shoot? What gives them the rhyme or reason to be pirates? And where are they getting those speedboats? Someone is funding this operation. That person needs to be found…soon.
