I have problems beyond diabetes. I have a shoulder that keeps giving me problems. While I learned about 20% of diabetics can have “frozen shoulder”, a painful condition that limits range of motion, I was told I did not have that. I did have a torn rotator cup. I still do not have the ability to completely lift my arm all the way up. The pain comes and goes. Frozen shoulder must be treated by a doctor and may require surgery. I had to undergo physical therapy for my shoulder. Now when the pain comes I can resort to doing the range of exercises once again. If you think you have frozen shoulder, consult your doctor to determine for sure.
