Bruce Pardo- Los Angeles Christmas Eve killer

December 26th, 2008 · No Comments · My Opinion

Bruce Pardo, dressed in a Santa suit, went to his ex-in-laws shooting anyone who was at a party that evening. He then set the house on fire. Nine people lost their lives and many were injured. This nice man who was an usher at church, always smiling, never mean to anyone killed family members of his ex-wife. According to reports he had 4 guns with him along with accelerant to start the fire plus a car loaded with extra ammunition. What set this man off? What made him so angry that he did this horrible thing? Was it the alimony he was to have paid? $1785 a month, but it was removed from the divorce decree because he lost his job in July. Was it the losing of his job? No one will know because Pardo drove to his brother’s house where no one was home. It was there that he committed suicide. His car also exploded in that area.

Once again innocent people were hurt or killed. Perhaps they had little to do with why he snapped and began his killing spree. Perhaps someone had argued with him prior to the party. But why on Christmas Eve when people were celebrating this special holiday? Why dress up as Santa? I wish there was a way the truth about his murderous visit could be learned. Perhaps we will never know what set him off. I pray for the remaining members of that family. They have to live with the horrible memories of that night. Christmas for them will never be the same. They now have to wait to bury their dead because the bodies were so badly burned it will take weeks to identify them all. They will always remember Christmas Eve as the anniversary of death. Feel sorry for the young girl who was shot in the face. Only 9, she will have to deal with surgery, recovery, and a horrible memory.  Pray for this family. They need it more than ever.
