With all the children going missing lately, I am surprised to see how many child molesters are living within miles of the areas where these children have been taken. There has to be a way to prevent pedophiles from abducting and molesting children.

The AMBER Alert Program, named for 9-year-old Amber Hagerman, is a voluntary partnership between law-enforcement agencies, broadcasters, and transportation agencies to activate an urgent bulletin in the most serious child-abduction cases. Broadcasters use the Emergency Alert System (EAS) to air a description of the abducted child and suspected abductor. The goal of an AMBER Alert is to instantly galvanize the entire community to assist in the search for and safe recovery of the child.

Researchers tell us sex offenders can be “treated”, but in essence, they would have to submit themselves for treatment. The urge to assault children, have sex with children, or even view naked children has been labeled offensive as well it should be. Pedophiles need to be subjected to as much treatment as necessary.

Check these websites: FamilySafetyGuardian.com or Registeredoffenderlist.org. They will give you information about child molesters living in your area. Talk to your children. Make them aware of people who want to hurt them. When in doubt, check with your local officials or police department to see if there is a discussion group you can check out. Talk to the school. Maybe they can have someone talk to the children in your area about abductions and what to do. We need to educate our children of the monsters out there who might want to hurt them. Keep the children safe.
